I think it was the board room upstairs in town hall were they sometimes hold area meetings etc! If you go to town hall reception and ask could you view the room upstairs with flags in and explain about your father I'm sure they'll be helpful  or better still give them a ring and ask about a tour with Craig Dobbin of the mayoral rooms chamber etc

I would love to go and see them, but I live in Ruby now and seldom get up to Bootle area as I no longer have relatives there. Please may I keep a copy of your photo?

Loving the story of the w.w.2 clock, happy to learn that it now takes pride of place in Bootle Town Hall..
Lynn's dad's flags also wearing well and looking very decorative in boardroom - all part of Bootle's history!
(Always in Bootle museum as a youngster) remember all the wonderful paintings and collection of ships in bottles, so many great artefacts) let's hope the missing items find their way back to Bootle some day :)

Also Lynne speaking with stephen whittle that runs Atkinson he told us about them getting aload of flags from Bootle musem? Maybe worth contacting him via Atkinson website! We mentioned you to him so he'd be expecting a call or message!
Good luck
