bob the seddon photo might be ben seddon although i dont think it looks like him , ben was a st monicas lad and lived in gloucester rd , he played for tranmere for a while and played at wembley a couple of times for kidderminster i think , he always played with the lads in the derby park every sunday afternoon when it was 15 a side mental games that lasted 3 hours or till the pub opened

On the Liverpool v Bootle Boys programme the Referee is J. Westby.
Presume Jack Westby ex LFC and later Warwick Bolam P E Teacher. I was a member of his "Red Hand Gang"

I remember Mr Westby, but don't remember suffering any cruelty from him. I had Mr Wilde as a Form teacher when I was there Ken, his party piece was to lift up your blazer and hit you on the back. My mate is certain that because of his abuse of power, he now suffers from back problems.

Local lad made good in football from bootle
Like Ray Mears in New Zealand made good in football
Loved my days in the YM and also had a games in the brunny.
Bootle South has well .

Ken was in the red hand gang never did me any harm only respect in them days. ( don't do it )
Anyway let's get back to football in the JOC and all them memories of playing and them lads meeting up.

Deserved punishment Phil. Jack would whack you on your bare back if you messed about in PE. Hence the Red Hand Gang. He was one of the better teachers at that school.
